SENIOR CIVIL & GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERS

CALGARY, ALBERTA

As a Senior Civil and Geotechnical Engineer in our growing Oil Sands group, you will have the opportunity to work in an integrated multi-disciplinary design team. You will have the opportunities and challenges every engineer wants in their career.

As part of this dynamic team you will help shape the future of KCB, the team and, through the projects we undertake, ensure both employee and client satisfaction. You will have the opportunity to work on interesting, varied and multi-scale projects and grow your business development and management skills.

Minimum of 10 years related experience in some or all of the following providing an opportunity to:

lead and mentor a group of seasoned geotechnical engineers, engineering geologists and technicians and enable you to gain experience and grow your career
develop, review and approve technical specifications, drawings and design reports and tender packages for major tailings dams, mine waste facilities and mine infrastructure projects
work on multiple projects with clients from concept design and through construction and commissioning stages
provide input to and prepare conceptual and detailed engineering designs, engineering studies, feasibility studies and condition assessments
work closely with the client and contractors throughout the various project stages

We value your

previous related experience in some of the following areas: site exploration, tailings dam design, mine and/or tailings planning, mine pit slope design, embankment dams, water resources and environmental management
Bachelor's degree in related Civil/Geotechnical fields
eligibility to register as P.Eng. in Alberta
demonstrated report writing skills and solid contract administration and project management skills
excellent verbal and written English communication skills
ability to work effectively with a team of professionals
strong interpersonal, time management and organization skills
ability to travel within Alberta to various field locations
